Smoothie – from Pink to Green

One more Smoothie. From Pink to Green. Because my brother is afraid of the red beets in the last recipe. But not about algues, so I decided to make a nice green smoothie with spirulina and wheatgrass. And personally, I would be more scared about this one, haha! No, but seriously you can taste the spirulina a bit and I wouldn’t makes this smoothie for green smoothies beginners :-)! (Don’t take me to serious it is just to scare my brother!) But guys, it is delicious and so healthy!

Green Smoothie with spirulina and wheatgrass (for 2)

  • 1 cup frozen mango in cubes
  • 2 cups jungs spinach
  • 50 ml passion fruit juice
  • 1 teaspoon wheatgrass powder

Mix together all the ingredients in a blender and divide between two glasses. Keep a little bit for decoration at the end though.

  • 2 cups yoghurt (or a vegan alternative)
  • 1 cup frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen rhubarb
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina powder

Mix together all the ingredients in a blender and add carefully to the glasses. Top with the rest of the green smoothie and decorate with young mint, sprouts, flowers… what ever you have handy!

It is time again to bring home fresh flowers from the garden whenever needed. So I can check at least one point of my list again. The diversity is amazing and you can’t believe how funny it is to run my last 2 km towards home with these beauties in my hand. People look at me in two different ways. Either they are really irritated, like they think I just picked the flowers in someone else’s grade and now have to run away! Or they give me the most shiny smile and are happy with me. So cool!

Snapshot of my lunch. No time to cook anything fancy, so it is a simple green salad. I love to add fruits to my salad. I think it looks beautiful and the sweet and juicy taste goes perfect with a simple vinaigrette. Enjoy your weekend!
